Course Objective

To become fully familiar with the linguistic legacies created throughout the successive historical periods of the Turkish language; to gain the knowledge to compare periods and linguistic characteristics.

 

Course Content

The student recognizes the oral and written sources of the Turkish language. They are knowledgeable about researchers who conduct studies on the Turkish language and their works. They are familiar with etymological dictionaries of the Turkish language, grammar books, articles written on the Turkish language, and journals published related to the Turkish language.
