Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to be learned the basic characteristics of life-long developmental approach and physical, cognitive and socio-emotional changes specific to each developmental period between fertilization and deaths.

Course Content

The basic concepts of developmental psychology, research methods, theoretical approaches to explain development of behavior, and finally basic knowledge about physical, cognitive and socio-emotional changes and characteristics specific to each life cycle from birth to adulthood. Current research findings are shared by creating a discussion environment based on mutual interaction among students.

Explanations

Exams will be conducted as midterms (40%) and finals (60%). Questions will be planned in various formats, including open-ended, multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, true/false, and matching.

Rules

Attendance at classes is mandatory and must be at least 70%.
