Course Objective
Examining different models explaining stress, researching the measurement of stress, and investigating its relationship with health. Gaining practical skills in coping with stress.
Course Content
Definition of stress, Stress and physiological reactivity, Chronic stress and the General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS). Sources of stress, Stress modifiers. The relationship between stress and physical diseases. Proactive coping and stress intervention methods like progressive muscle relaxation, breathing excercise, systematic desensitization and other cognitive interventions. .

Course Learning Outcomes
- They can define stress and related concepts.
- They can recognize stress-related psychopathologies.
- Students will learn to administer stress intervention like progressive muscle relaxation, breathing exercise, systematic desensitization and other cognitive interventions by practically performing these interventions in class.
