POL 009 - Gender and Politics

Course Objective

This course offers a survey of contemporary scholarship on the involvement of women in formal and informal politics from a global perspective. It addresses women's political activities, the demands made on the political system by women, and the political impact of women's movements in different contexts. 

Course Content

This module focuses on developments and issues within individual countries through comparative case studies within the larger field of gender and politics.

Explanations

The mid-term and final exam will be two-hour written examinations. Candidates will be required to answer two questions, chosen from a list of four.
