Course Objective


The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the phenomenon of migration theoretically, to interpret the national and global effects of migration, and to prepare them for this field of practice as social workers.

 

Course Content

 

Basic Concepts and migration policies on the axis of historical change processes in Turkey, Immigration theories and causes, Right to Asylum in the Context of Human Rights, Refugees within the Scope of National and International Legislation, Refugees within the Scope of National and International Legislation, Women Refugees and Social Work, Child Refugees and Social Work, Problems experienced by refugees, refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants in social work practices, services offered to asylum seekers and refugees in Turkey, professional role and approach models of the Social Worker at micro and mezzo level, professional role and approach models of the Social Worker at the macro level; Includes topics
