Course Objective

 

To ensure that they learn the necessary conceptual and theoretical framework about social work in disasters, intervention and application methods, problems that may be encountered in the field as social workers, methodology for disasters and apply this knowledge in the professional field.

Course Content

 

Basic concepts on the subject. Natural disaster, man-made disasters, technological disaster. People in disaster and after disaster. Social and community relations changed by disaster. Distressed family relationships. The role of social work in disasters. The methods and techniques he uses. Goals of social work in disasters. Working methods and functions. Generating professional solutions through group discussions.
