Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach terminological concepts, as well as macro- and micronutrients, in English, and to enable students to fluently explain the related topics.

Course Content

The content of this course includes terminological concepts, basic nutrition knowledge, and the importance of nutrition, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, and minerals in healthy eating.

Explanations

Evaluation will be made through midterm and final exam.

Rules

70% attendance is mandatory.

  1. Acquiring skills in reading and understanding professional English resources.
  2. Applies the principles to be considered when translating between English and Turkish
  3. Develops the ability to read and comprehend English articles in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics
