Explanations

Evaluation
Students taking the course will be evaluated based on the following factors:
a) Midterm evaluation: 40%
Midterm: Taken during the midterm week specified in the academic calendar.
b) Final: 60% (Taken during the final week specified in the academic calendar).
• Midterm and final exams can be administered as tests or based on theoretical knowledge and interpretation of the course, or they can also consist of open-ended questions. Primary and supplementary resources specified in the course plan, along with articles and similar documents provided in other educational materials (LMS), can be evaluated together in these exams. Additionally, various assignments may be assigned outside of the exams and evaluated.
c) Other Important Considerations
• Cheating on exams or attempting to cheat in any way is not tolerated. According to Articles 7/e and 8/d of the Student Disciplinary Regulations of Higher Education Institutions, "cheating on exams, encouraging others to cheat, or attempting to cheat" is punishable by "suspension from the higher education institution for one or two semesters." The names of those who cheat or attempt to cheat on an exam will be reported to the Dean's Office, with a request for disciplinary action.

• Students are required to attend at least 70% of classes. Students who attend less than 70% of classes will automatically fail the course. These students will not be allowed to take the final exam or, consequently, the make-up exam.

• Students who attend 90% or more of classes may also be awarded additional grades to be added to their final exam results.
