Course Objective

To have students gained the background for static and dynamics.

Course Content

Measurement, dimensional analysis and unit systems, Vectors, Linear Motion, Circular Motion, Newton's Laws of Mechanics, Application of Newton's Laws, Work, Kinetic Energy, Potantiel Energy, Power, Conservation of Mechanical Energy, Linear Momentum and Collisions, Rotation of a Rigid Body, Torque and Angular Momentum, Universal Gravitation, Static Equilibrium and a Rigid Body.

  1. Analyzes static, kinematic, and dynamic processes.
  2. Explains measurement and basic unit systems.
  3. Applies fundamental physical laws to mechanical systems.
  4. Proposes new models for static, kinematic, and dynamic systems.
  5. Produces solutions to problems related to static, kinematic, and dynamic processes.
