Course Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce contemporary and innovative material types used in building and interior design and to develop students’ basic skills in evaluating these materials in terms of their technical, aesthetic, and environmental properties.
Course Content
Innovative materials used in building and interior design are introduced and evaluated from technical and environmental perspectives based on their performance characteristics. Contemporary materials are explored through selected project examples from Türkiye and abroad, as well as through design-based applications.

- Yenilikçi yapı malzemelerinin türlerini tanımlar ve fiziksel, yapısal, çevresel performanslarına göre değerlendirir
- Güncel malzemelerin üretim tekniklerini ve iç mekân/yapı tasarımındaki kullanım alanlarını kavrar
- Yurtiçi ve yurtdışı örnek projeler üzerinden tasarım çözümlerini irdeler
- Yenilikçi malzeme kullanımını içeren tasarım fikirlerini kavramsal, görsel ve teknik araçlarla ifade eder
