Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences · Interior Architecture and Environmental Design · Undergraduate
Course Objective
The aim of this course is;
1. Developing concepts for interior design
2. To develop and develop solutions by studying the interior design problem through logical and intuitive inquiries
3. To understand and evaluate the relationship between interior space and human needs
4. Analyzing the interdisciplinary relations in terms of interior architectural environmental components
5. Housing etc. to make interior design in the context of life circles
Course Content
Planning-programming decisions that form data for interior design; interrogation of the concepts of function, form and technology in relation to interior design at different scales; analysis and evaluation of needs; holistic consideration of the components of the indoor experience; conceptual research, formal expression and application studies related to interior architectural environment design; Experimental workshops on space user relations; housing etc. interior design of living environments

Explanations
There will be weekly assignments, sketch exam, midterm and comprehensive final delivery.
1. Students will be announced at the beginning of the semester. The day, hour and place of delivery will be announced by the Deanery. Sketch exam will be held at the workshop determined within the class time on the announced date during the semester.
2. Final delivery includes issues processed for the whole period. The date, time and place of the final delivery will be announced by the Deanery.
Rules
1. Attendance: According to the regulations, if a student does not attend 80% of the total course hours, dersten absenteeism (DZ) fails.
2. Late arrivals: The class is expected not only to arrive but to attend classes on time. Remember that 3 lessons will be counted as 1 full absence. Late arrivals are defined as follows: The lecturer will take class polling and attend class after the first 10 minutes of class
3. Getting help: It is important for your education to ask questions about the class during the class or during the class hours and to find out what time it is. We advise our students to get help if necessary.
4. Academic honesty: It is expected that you will have your own endeavors and your work in studies that will be subject to note of the course. In non-moral situations, such as plagiarism or copying, you will be subject to disciplinary action and necessary criminal sanctions as required by the relevant regulation of the IZU
5. The assessments set forth in this footnote are fixed and no extra compensation measurements for grading will be made.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Gain the ability to work within a certain concept and limit
- It evaluates an architectural project according to customer, user, space and equipment needs, site conditions, relevant laws and standards and design criteria.
- It improves the perception of interior design principles and spaces by analyzing ideas.
- An architectural project with a comprehensive program acquires the ability to develop and evaluate from the schematic design stage to the detailed system development stage (structural and environmental systems, safety, divider systems, etc.).
- Two and three dimensional design, architectural composition and visual design perception and arrangement in urban design.
