Course Objective

To raise individuals who understand the importance and purpose of the laboratory in science teaching, who know the constructivist approach and safety rules in laboratory studies, who understand and can apply the scientific method and how scientific process skills are acquired.

Course Content

The purpose and importance of the laboratory in science teaching; safety in the laboratory; scientific method, scientific process skills and how they are acquired; laboratory experiments for primary school (planning, conducting experiments and evaluating the results of experiments), preparing experiment worksheets and experiment reports; Examples of experiments that can be done with simple and cheap materials; group studies.
