Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable prospective teachers to acquire the fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills for evaluating classroom learning in preschool education.
Course Content
The purpose, importance, and basic principles of assessing classroom learning in early childhood education; traditional and alternative assessment approaches in early childhood education; observation and observation-based data collection techniques; pedagogical documentation, portfolios, digital portfolios, assessment of learning according to developmental areas, interpretation, reporting, and sharing of assessment data; assessment in preschool education programs; child participation in assessment; family participation in assessment.
