Course Objective
The aim of the course is;
to be able to comprehend how language and its concepts are gained by passing through processes.
To be able to comprehend the concepts of language and concept development theories, color, shape, space, time, texture / material, number and quantity.
to be able to prepare activities appropriate for age groups.
Course Content
The importance of language in human life; different approaches to language development; systems of language; stages of pre-language development; factors providing language development; factors that prevent language development; concept development; memory; relationship between thought and language; preparation for reading; language development activities.
Course Learning Outcomes
- define the importance of language and concept development in early childhood.
- know the development and stages of language in early childhood.
- Know how the child's vocabulary develops in early childhood.
- Knows the importance of intuitive thinking in early childhood
- Knows the physiological basis of language and speech in early childhood
