Course Objective

Traumatic situations are examined closely and it is aimed to inform about the interventions related to this issue.

Course Content

This course includes the followings; Understanding trauma, general characteristics, establishing a trusting relationship with the client, evaluating the client, psychoeducation, affect regulation and cognitive processing, working with triggers, the role of client-counselor relationship in trauma therapy, mass traumas and group work.

Attendance to the Course: Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation
Article 21 - (1) Students at the University; Within one semester, they are obliged to attend theoretical courses 70% and applied courses 80%. Each instructor checks the obligation to attend classes according to these principles.

  1. Provides information about psycho-educational studies for trauma
  2. Explains the techniques that can be applied and can explain why they are used in trauma.
  3. Gives information about working in the field in social trauma situations.
  4. It is provided a broad insight into the field
