Course Objective
This course aims to increase students' ability to make accurate translations by having various texts translated from Turkish to Arabic.
Course Content
Basic theories and approaches in translation science; Translating original Arabic texts on different subjects and genres into Turkish; critical evaluation by comparing different translations of the same text through error analysis; form, word choice, the role and importance of translation in language learning and the cultural dimension of translation.

Explanations
The First Semester consists of 8 weeks of classes + 1 week of Midterm + 7 weeks of classes + 1 or 2 weeks of Final Exam.
Course weeks are 16 weeks in total. The number of lesson hours per week is 2 hours.
In the Total Evaluation, the results of the Midterm Exam will be evaluated by 40%, Class attendance grade - 10% and the results of the Final Exam by 50%.
In order for the student to be considered successful in the course, the total score must be at least 50 percent.
The office hours with the course instructor for Turkish–Arabic Translation II are on Tuesdays from 11:30 to 12:30.
Rules
In order to gain the right to take the exams of this course, the student should be at least 70%.
In order to participate 70%, the student must attend the course for at least 10 weeks. Class attendance grade is determined according to the student's attendance of lessons and his participation in class activities.
The student should come to each lesson by doing the preparatory work.
