Course Objective
The aim of this training course is for the student to know the most important topics of Arabic poetry, its literary schools, and how it expresses the Arab social, political and cultural environment throughout the different eras.
Course Content
Studying themes and texts of Arabic poetry that express intellectual, social and emotional issues of interest to the Arab poet, and analyzing samples of Arabic poetry in an artistic and aesthetic way.

Course Learning Outcomes
- It is expected that the student will be able to appreciate the aesthetics of Arabic poetry in terms of meaning and style
- It is expected that the student will be able to read the texts of Arabic poetry properly
- The student is expected to discover the similarities between Arabic poetry and Turkish poetry in some rhetorical styles
- The student is expected to acquire the ability to study Arabic poetry in the context of Arab culture and history
- Recognizes and knows the main types of Arabic Poetry
- Knows the representatives of Arab poetry
