- Öğrenciler, İslam siyasi düşüncesinin tarihi, konuları ve sorunlarına, CE 1500 yılına kadar maruz kalmış olacaklardır. Öğrenciler, İslami siyasi düşünce metinleri ve geleneksel temelleri, halifelik ve imamat kavram ve kurumlarının gelişimi, İslam öncesi ve İslam olmayan siyasi kavram ve uygulamalarının İslam siyaseti için önemi, teori ve uygulamaları hakkında bilgi sahibi olacaklardır. İslam monarşisinin uygulanması, Arapça ve İslami rasyonalist ve felsefi politik kuramlar. Tarihsel araştırma yoluyla siyasi yapıların anlaşılmasına vurgu yapılacaktır.
