Dersin Amacı

Siyaset nedir? Toplumlar neden bir devlete ihtiyaç duyar? Bir yöneticinin ya da devletin otoritesinin temeli nedir? Adalet nedir? Bu ders bu sorulara Aydınlanma Dönemi öncesi Siyaset Felsefesi alanından, Sokrates'den Machiavelli'ye kadar gelen düşünürler üzerinden cevap verecektir.

Ders İçeriği

Öğrencilere Klasik Siyaset Düşüncesinin Antik Yunan'da doğuşu Sokrates, Eflatun, Aristo, Cicero, St. Augustine'nin siyasal fikirlerinin incelenmesiyle, Rönesans Dönemindeki devamlılık ve dönüşümse Thomas Aquinas ve Niccolo Machiavelli örnekleriyle anlatılacaktır.
